Events
The Sequim Irrigation Festival begins on the first full weekend in May and extends through the following weekend. As a community festival, most of the events that happen are free to all attendees.
In 2024 the Sequim Irrigation Festival will celebrate its 129th year, making it the oldest, longest, continuous-running festival in Washington state. The festival events were held at various locations throughout the city of Sequim, located in Clallam County.
The 2024 Sequim Irrigation Festival will be held May 3-12, 2024. Watch this space for more information as the events are scheduled.
In addition to the community festival held in May, supporting events occur earlier in the year.
The events that occur on each weekend have been grouped for easy reference. Check out each event’s page for more details about it. Listed below are the 2024 events. For a full list of the events, click here
- The Royalty Scholarship Pageant to select royalty for the year will be held on February 24, 2024.
- Float Unveiling is the first opportunity to see the 2024 float, held just before the Kickoff Dinner and Auction on March 23, 2024.
- Kickoff Dinner and Auction fundraiser for the festival and float construction will be held on March 23, 2024.

Float Unveiling
7 Cedars Casino SequimThis amazing float was unveiled in front of the Seven Cedars Casino Hotel in March 2023 just before the Kickoff Dinner and Auction, which is a major fundraiser for the Sequim Irrigation Festival. This float has animation and water running through the ditch.
Kickoff Dinner & Auction
This is a major fund raising event for the festival a well as the first introduction of the Royalty, Pioneers, and Grand Marshal. The Festival Pins as well as many donated items are auctioned during this event.
