Saturday night we were entertained with the fantastic sounds of Black Diamond Junction. They played at the James Performing Center for the Arts (bandshell) at Carrie Blake Park for a concert and community dance. This all began at 6 pm right after the Trashion Show. Sponsored by:
DR Callen, nicknamed Crazy Callen, was the designer of the first irrigation ditches in Sequim that took water from the Dungeness River to the Sequim Valley. Each year we honor this amazing pioneer with a breakfast – “Crazy Daze Breakfast”.
The Sequim City Band’s first outdoor concert was held on Sunday, May 4th as the closing entertainment act of the Sequim Irrigation Festival Crazy Callen Weekend. This is a major fund raising event for the festival a well as the first introduction of the Royalty, Pioneers, and Grand Marshal. The Festival Pins as well as many donated items are auctioned during this event.
