Trashion Show

The first annual Trashion Show was a huge hit. We had 8 fantastic entries in 2023. Outfits were made from at least 75% recycled materials.
We expect the 2024 Trashion Show to be even bigger and better. Bring any outfit you have made that is created from at least 75% recycled materials and show off your fabulous fashion to the Crazy Callen Weekend audience. The theme for this year’s Sequim Irrigation Festival is ‘2024 Mountains to Shore Whatever You’re Looking For’. Prizes will be available in a number of categories.
The Trashion Show will be held as part of the Innovative Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday May 4th starting at 5:45pm. There will be an encore show the following Sunday, May 12th at 1pm at Studio Bob in Port Angeles. All participants are encouraged to do both shows.
What is Trashion?
- Clothing made of recycled/re-purposed/non-traditional materials
- 75% of what can be seen should be non-traditional materials (foundation/structurally supportive undergarments are fine)
- Can be functional/practical or can be artistic/wearable art
- Should be visually striking
- Makes a statement
- Often uses the materials to dictate a theme (i.e, canning lids and rings = Ball gown)
