I love living in Sequim. You look in one direction you see the mountains, the other you see the ocean. So, it is easy to find your favorite activities from the mountains to the shore, here in our backyard. I love hiking in the woods. My favorite activity is throwing the ball to my dog. Other fun things to do is biking and watching birds swoop down and grab food. I love to hear the birds sing.
When I am done with the trees, I find myself by the rolling waves of the ocean. I like collecting shells and rocks. I count myself lucky to be able to experience Sequim and all it’s beauty. One of my favorite memories was when we took my great-grandma, Gloria Jean Gockerell (Hendrickson) to the beach. She couldn’t get out of her wheelchair, but I got to bring her rocks and shells, which made her happy! I am named after her. I love that I got to experience that with her. From the mountains to the shore, you can create memories like mine here in Sequim.
