First Friday Art Walk

First Friday Art Walk Sequim is a fun, free, self-guided tour of local art venues held on the first Friday of every month from 5:00–8:00 p.m. Explore galleries, studios, shops, and public spaces throughout Sequim while enjoying art, music, and special events.

Initiated in 2006, First Friday Art Walk Sequim is an encouraging and educational arts event sponsored and produced by Renne Emiko Brock. Its mission is to create approachable and accessible art and cultural venues that foster community connection while celebrating expression and diversity.

The Sequim Art Walk helps build cultural vitality that strengthens the local economy and enhances quality of life. By supporting artists, educators, and cultural institutions, a thriving arts community benefits all local businesses and helps position Sequim as a destination for creative pursuits and products.

Inspired by the Sequim Irrigation Festival’s theme, “Where Water Is Wealth,” the May 1 First Friday Art Walk features an AQUA color theme celebrating cultivation and culture. Aqua represents responsible and sustainable elements such as cool fresh water, abundant seas, renewing rain, and bright sunny skies. Art and music inspired by natural resources, creativity, positive partnerships, and innovative ideas will be showcased throughout the evening.

To encourage inclusion among venues, artists, and audiences, everyone is invited to participate in the Art Walk’s monthly color themes as a fun community activity in any creative form. Monthly themes include:

January – Silver, February – Red, March – Green, April – Pink, May – Aqua, June – White, July – Purple, August – Yellow, September – Blue, October – Orange, November – Brown, December – Gold.

Artists and venues interested in being listed on the Official First Friday Art Walk Sequim Map, Listings, and Website are encouraged to contact Renne Emiko Brock. Artists of all media are welcome to submit information for publicity and participation opportunities.
