2024 Grand Marshal Dr. Linda Allen

Linda Allen DVM is a 1991 graduate of University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Aside from the regular high school babysitting jobs she cannot remember working in a job that did not involve animals of some kind, including working with a variety of animals with Universal Studios including tigers, lions, and bears!  She made the move to beautiful Sequim in 1999 with her 2 young children Aimee and Austin and with the help of Legacy Homes as well as numerous other local contractors she converted the Pine Cupboard building to her veterinary hospital.  She has been serving the pets of the peninsula for the last 25 years.

Dr Allen has always had a passion for her work and has always felt it as an honor to be part of such a great profession as veterinary medicine.  From the beginning of her career, giving back to the community has been an important aspect.  In California she worked with Guiding Eyes as well as a local horse rescue.  Dr. Allen has been involved with local rescue groups WAG and PFOA.  She has also donated time and resources to spaying and neutering projects.

Dr Allen states “The real heroes are the individuals of each of our local organizations, as well as the many people of the community that support them.  I am blessed to be able to help them in any way possible.”

When not practicing veterinary medicine, she can be found with her horses, dogs, and cats or at Bodystrong TaeKwon Do where she is a 4th Dan Black Belt and instructor.  Being named Grand Marshal of this year’s parade was truly a surprise and she is excited to share the spotlight with “Casey” the Great Dane.  To read about this amazing boy visit WAG’s website.
