Camila Torres is a Helen Haller Elementary 4th grade student. She has two older siblings making her the youngest in her family.
Camila is very creative and enjoys drawing and painting landscapes in her free time. She has a big imagination and loves doing arts and crafts. S.T.E.M. is her favorite class because it makes her think outside the box and lets her use her creativity skills. She enjoys spending time outside and visiting places like Hurricane Ridge and the Dungeness Spit.
Camila has a passion for helping people in need and takes care of her family when they’re sick. She is interested in becoming a teacher, chef, cosmetologist, or a business woman.
When the button design contest was announced, Camila picked up her paper and pencil and the image just started to flow. Camila’s inspiration to draw her beautiful artwork comes from her love for the outdoors, enormous creativity, and Sequim events like the River Festival. She is extremely excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to be in the Sequim Irrigation Festival and to have won the button contest.
